CM promises to shift Tukkapur

In Toguta in Siddipet district on Wednesday, Chief Minister K. With the inauguration of Mallanasagar reservoir by Chandrashekhar Rao, there was an atmosphere of happiness among the leaders of the ruling party and the farmers.

There was another class which is also happy – the villagers of Tukkapur.

This village is facing a common problem. The walls of all the houses in the village are getting wet and the villagers say that their houses may collapse. The reason is – Mallanasagar!

The 50 tmcft capacity reservoir constructed in Toguta and Kondapaka mandals is located barely a few meters away from the village. Already 10 tmcft of water is being stored in the reservoir which has resulted in a huge increase in groundwater in the village. The water is coming out slowly, causing a lot of trouble to the villagers. Their concern is that if the reservoir fills to capacity, their lives will become miserable. In the past too many memorandums were given to the officials and public representatives, but no response came.

During the inauguration of the reservoir, Dubbak MLA M. Raghunandan Rao gave a memorandum in this regard to the Chief Minister. It was said that Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao and Lok Sabha member K. Prabhakar Reddy has also brought this issue to the notice of Shri Chandrasekhar Rao.

Responding to this, the Chief Minister assured to shift the village. “We are happy that the Chief Minister has assured to solve our problems. It is a big relief for all,” said Chandram, the sarpanch of Ch. Village Hindu,
