Pune: CNG Price in Pune It has been increased from Rs 77.20 to Rs 80 per kg.
According to Ali Daruwala, national spokesperson of the All India Petrol Dealers Association, the price of one kg of CNG in the city, which was Rs 77.20, has been hiked by a little over Rs 2 each.
This is the fifth time that CNG prices have risen in the last two months.
Earlier, on April 28, the price of alternative fuel to petrol and diesel was increased from Rs 75 to Rs 77.20.
The steady rise in CNG prices has been a cause of concern for many in Pune, especially for many autorickshaw drivers. Several auto unions in the city have already demanded the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), headed by the Pune collector, to revise and increase the basic fares of autos.
Similarly, most of the fleet of PMPML buses runs on CNG.
The last fare hike was done in November last year.
