“Due to the pandemic, there was no crowd. When fans are present in the stadium, their cheering helps as it motivates the players. I would like to thank the fans of Bengaluru for coming out in large numbers and encouraging the team.

“He has shown us a lot of love and has supported not only his team but other teams as well. They love kabaddi here,” said Singh.

One of the most successful coaches in India’s kabaddi landscape, Singh said that regardless of their performance, all coaches are constantly trying to improve their strategies.

“There is always room for improvement and no coach is ever satisfied with the performance of his team. So, we want to improve our performance as the season progresses.”

For Ram Meher Singh and Gujarat Giants, the Pune leg of the season is of utmost importance as they look to make it to the playoffs, with the top six teams progressing from the first round.

“When the defensive unit and the attacking unit work together and coordinate, the team does well, and that is reflected in our performance, especially when we win. If the team continues to eliminate mistakes, we will continue to do well and keep scoring points.”

“If the defensive unit is strong, it will help the team build from there.”
At seventh in the points table, Adani Sportsline-owned Gujarat Giants will take on Telugu Titans at the bottom of their next game on Saturday, October 29.
