Indian crypto company CoinDCX organized a hackathon on the theme ‘Innovation and Tech Neutrality in Web3’ as a part of its three-day Unfold 2022 event held from August 26-28, 2022. The hackathon saw 250 Web3 developers as participants in 100+. Teams, 86 project submissions, and prizes of over $60,000 were distributed to winners sponsored by 13 leading global Web3 companies.
Created in partnership with hackathon specialist DevFolio, registration for the hackathon began earlier this month. Participants were given the option to work on multiple chains and protocols, and the topics for the challenges included DAO tooling, P2P payment apps, ReFi (regenerative finance), use cases for NFTs in dApps, router protocol apps, etc. were from 13 different sponsors. ,
In addition to CoinDCX, sponsors represented Web3 companies and startups such as Polygon, Solana, NEAR, Router Protocol, Filecoin/IPFS, Tezos, Alchemy, Covalent, Arcana, Unstoppable Domains, Spheron, EPNS, and Gitopia. The hackathon lasted for 48 hours.
Unfold was the winner of the 2022 hackathon—first place for Cupcakes, which won $3500, helps bundle txs at Polygon and relate them to optimism. Second place for zkLoans, who won $1500, it’s possible to prove your creditworthiness without actually revealing your credit score – powered by zk-SNARKs on NEAR and third place was awarded to NonGan, who won $1000, ties on -Chain analyzes data. Dapps and Chain to create insights for users, developers and investors.
UNFOLD 2022, an annual event in the Web3 space, is an initiative towards realizing CoinDCX’s commitment to building India’s vision of building a crypto/web3 ecosystem.
