“Comic Bhookh Story!”: Amul Gives A Shout-Out To The Archies In A Creative Topical

Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies is making all the right noises. With foot-taping numbers and a young cast, the film is loaded with zesty elements. Congratulations are in order for the debutants including Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. Dairy brand Amul has given a big shout-out to the team in its signature creative style. On Monday, the dairy brand shared an illustrative post on Instagram. In the creative tropical post, three illustrations similar to The Archies cast can be seen relishing bread and butter. The brand truly made sure to include the essence of the movie, as the illustrations can be seen dressed in retro-themed outfits. One of the illustrations that appears quite similar to Agastya Nanda’s character Archie Andrews can be seen with a guitar in his hand. As always, the highlight of the illustrative post turned out to be its wordplay. The header on the picture read, “Comic bhookh story!” referring to The Archie comics, on which the film is based. The text on the picture added, “Amul khana padenga.” Sharing the picture, Amul wrote, “Amul Topical: Indian Hindi language teen musical comedy film releases!”

This isn’t the first time that Amul has given a shout-out to a film. Just a week back, the dairy brand shared a special post for Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. Meghna Gulzar’s film, which is based on the life of India’s First Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, hit the theatres on December 1. The dairy brand dropped an illustrative post featuring Vicky as Sam Manekshaw, in military uniform. The picture shows Vicky’s illustration holding bread and butter in the centre. The text on the picture read, “Sam Maskashaw”. In India butter is also called Maska. Sharing the post the brand wrote, “Amul Topical: Biographical war drama on India’s first field marshal!”

Sharing a special post for Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj, Amul created an illustration of the actor with its mascot. The text on the post revolved around the plot of the film. It read, “Major rescue, miner miracle! Amul khao, din ya rat” Along with the post, the dairy brand wrote, “Amul Topical: The miraculous rescue of the 41 trapped tunnel workers!”
