Commonwealth Games, Day 7, Live Updates: Hima Das has entered the semi-finals of women’s 200m while shuttler PV Sindhu won her women’s singles round of 32 match. Kidambi Srikanth is in action. The Indian contingent has so far won 18 medals, including five gold, in the ongoing Commonwealth Games. On the seventh day of the ongoing event, stars like Dipika Pallikal (Squash) and Amit Panghal (Boxing) will be in action. Three other boxers are also in action in the quarterfinals. Everyone’s medal will be confirmed when they reach the semi-finals. Also, the men’s hockey team will face Wales, and this will be very important in terms of their chances of reaching the semi-finals. Later, Murali Sreeshankar will also enter the men’s long jump final. He is a major contender for the medal as he qualified for the final with the best jump among all the contestants in the qualifying round. In other athletics action, India’s Manju Bala qualified for the women’s hammer throw final with a best throw of 59.68m. Sarita Singh, the second Indian in action, could not advance.
