Compulsory play of national anthem before starting classes in UP madrassas

Like schools, now madrassas in Uttar Pradesh will also have to play the national anthem before the start of their academic programme. The Madrasa Education Council has made the national anthem mandatory before classes begin in madrassas. The new academic session has started after the Ramadan holiday. The national anthem will be sung every morning from the new academic year and prayers will be offered in madrasas. This order is applicable to all aided and unaided madrassas.

Following the instructions of the Madrasa Education Council, the District Minority Officer has issued a letter to all the madrasa managers. It has been clearly said that now the national anthem will have to be played in madrasas like schools.

Meanwhile, the Madrasa Board examinations will begin from May 14, for which the District Minority Welfare Officer will monitor the situation. Minority Welfare Minister Danish Azad Ansari said that all madrasas have been informed about the national anthem.

In Saharanpur district also, notification has been issued to organize national anthem in 238 madrasas. This also includes those madrasas in which education is being given under the revised scheme.
