Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday alleged that the Congress and JD(S) believe in 18th century Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan and both the parties cannot do anything good for Karnataka. of Ullal Rani Abbakka Chowta for a prosperous rule in the kingdom.

The Union Minister for Home and Cooperation was in Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district to celebrate the golden jubilee celebrations of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Limited (CAMPCO).

“Who should form the next government in Karnataka – BJP, a team of patriots led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Or a corrupt Congress that used Karnataka as an ATM for the Gandhi family?” Shah asked the crowd.

He also accused the previous Congress government in Karnataka of letting loose 1,700 workers of the PFI, which was banned by the Center last year.

He claimed that the Prime Minister has kept the country safe by eliminating terrorism and Naxalism in the country.

Citing the example of Jammu and Kashmir, Shah said that when he stood up to introduce the bill on August 5, 2019 to abrogate Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress and the JD ( S) insisted that this article should not be repealed as it would lead to bloodshed in Kashmir.

According to him, voting for the JD(S) is the same as voting for the Congress and voting for the BJP, which means “bringing a New Karnataka, which will enable a New India”.

The senior BJP leader alleged that the Congress and the JD(S) would not do any good for the state. The Union Home Minister said, “Karnataka prospered whenever there was a BJP government.”

According to Shah, farmers across the country remember former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for his pro-farmer measures. He said the whole country remembers Yediyurappa as Bengaluru prospered under his leadership.

Shah also talked about various projects the Center is planning to start in Dakshina Kannada district, such as hydrogen power project, plastic park, strengthening of CAMPCO, deep sea fishing, 1,000 jobs for minority community Hostel for students and upgradation of Mangaluru port.

The visit of the top BJP leader assumes significance as assembly elections in Karnataka are less than three months away.
