Congress marches to Raj Bhavan to expose ‘Modi-Adani’ nexus

Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government of bowing down to the interests of a few corporates at the cost of public welfare.

Inaugurating the march to the Raj Bhavan by the United Democratic Front (UDF) to expose the “Prime Minister Narendra Modi-Adani” nexus, Mr Satishan said the assets of the Gujarat-based Adani Group have increased manifold, an estimated 120 per cent, Inside. The Prime Minister has shielded the Adani Group and other corporate defaulters from revenue recovery proceedings. He has exposed LIC and SBI about the financial failures and frauds of pro-BJP business houses. Mr. Modi has allowed Mr. Adani to operate most of the oil refineries and sea and airports in the country.

Hundreds of Congress workers were stopped by the police just a short distance from the Raj Bhavan. UDF convenor MM Hassan, senior leader Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC organizing general secretary TU Radhakrishnan and DCC president Palode Ravi led the march.
