Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s mass marriage scheme for girls from economically weaker sections has been put to the test after some brides claimed to be pregnant. Five of the 219 girls did not get married on Saturday after their test poses. The case has gained a huge political following. The Congress has questioned who ordered the test. Under the reserved girl marriage/nikah scheme, mass marriage took place in Gadsarai area of ​​Dindori. One of the women whose pregnancy test came out said that she had started living with her fiance before marriage. She said, “My pregnancy test pos aaya hai. Wrong: Because of this my name was removed from the final list of marriages, however, the officials did not give me any clear reason.”

It is an insult to the girls, who have now been defamed in front of their father.” Dr. Ramesh Maravi, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dindori said that generally tests can be done for age verification, detection of sickle cell floats and physical fitness. “We only do tests and report to Darpan. The decision to exclude girls from mass marriage scheme is taken by the social justice department based on the health department’s report,” he said. The Congress alleges that the local administration and the state government have neglected women by conducting pregnancy tests.
