Coronavirus symptoms in India: Major COVID-19 symptoms reported during omicron wave; Find out who was most affected

According to ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava, as compared to the second wave, the third COVID wave dominated by Omicron type affected more population of young people.

After analyzing the data of 1,520 (564 fully closed and 956 unvaccinated/partially vaccinated) COVID patients admitted to 37 medical facilities between November 15, 2021 and January 17, 2022, the ICMR researchers found that The median age of those hospitalized was 44 years. Further, the ICMR chief says, “About 46% had co-morbidities, these are people who are younger… but about half of them had some co-morbidities and had very few symptoms.”
