New Delhi [India]November 6 (ANI): Counting of votes is underway for the by-elections in seven constituencies that were held on November 3.

As per the early trends of Adampur constituency, Bhavya Bishnoi of Bharatiya Janata Party is leading by 10,778 votes in Haryana and Jai Prakash of Congress is trailing by 8800 votes.

A total of 75.25 percent voting was recorded between the BJP, Congress, Indian National Lok Dal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Adampur seat of Haryana.

In Adampur, Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former chief minister Bhajan Lal, resigned as an MLA from the seat and a bypoll was necessitated after he switched from the Congress to the BJP in August. Bishnoi’s son Bhavya had contested the by-election as a BJP candidate.

The Congress has fielded former Union minister Jai Prakash, while the INLD has fielded Congress rebel Kurda Ram Numberdar as its candidate. Satendra Singh was AAP’s candidate.

Significantly, Adampur seat is considered to be the stronghold of Bishnoi.

Meanwhile, as per the latest trends, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading in both the assembly seats- Mokama and Gopalganj.

RJD’s Neelam Devi is leading by 35,036 votes from Mokama assembly seat in Bihar, while Mohan Prasad Gupta is leading by 6,314 votes in Gopalganj assembly seat.

In Bihar, this was the first major election after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke away from the BJP and formed a grand alliance government with the RJD and the Congress.

The main contest in Bihar is between BJP and RJD.

For the Mokama bypoll, the BJP has fielded Sonam Devi against RJD’s Neelam Devi, whose bypoll was necessitated due to the disqualification of her husband Anant Singh.

According to early trends, BJP’s Aman Giri is leading in Uttar Pradesh’s Gola Gokarnath assembly seat by 49,142 votes, while SP’s Vinay Tiwari has got 35,144 votes so far.

For this, BJP had fielded Aman Giri while Samajwadi Party (SP) had given ticket to former MLA Vinay Tiwari.

In Andheri East, Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Thackeray faction) candidate Rutuja Latte is seen leading by 14,648 votes in the by-polls held here on November 3.

Rutuja Latke is the wife of sitting Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke, who had to hold elections due to his death in May.

This was the first election after Eknath Shinde and 39 other MLAs rebelled in the Shiv Sena, which led to the fall of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.

The NCP and Congress have also supported the candidature of Rutuja Latke.

Accordingly, BJP’s Suryavanshi Suraj is leading in Odisha’s Dhamnagar with 8,737 votes, which saw a turnout of 66.63 per cent in the Dhamnagar assembly constituency bypoll. Meanwhile, Abanti Das of BJD got 7,358 votes.

In Odisha’s Dhamnagar by-poll, there appears to be a tough contest between ruling BJD candidate Abanti Das and BJP candidate Suryavanshi Suraj Sthaparajana, son of BJP MLA Bishnu Sethi, whose assembly seat fell vacant after his death, as his candidate. In- election.
