New Delhi:
India recorded 11,539 fresh coronavirus infections on Sunday, taking its tally to 4,43,39,429, while the number of active cases came down to 99,879, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 5,27,332 with 34 fatalities, taking the tally of nine deaths by Kerala, data updated at 8 am.
The ministry said active cases comprise 0.23 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.59 per cent.
