The striker is currently training on his own at the Portuguese national team’s training base after being given extra time due to a ‘family problem’ and will not be on Friday’s flight to Thailand.
Manchester United will play their first friendly of the pre-season in Bangkok on 12 July against Liverpool before flying to Melbourne, where they will face Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace.
The team coached by Erik ten Haag will conclude their tour of Australia with a game against Aston Villa in Perth on 23 July, before returning to the UK via Oslo (Norway) where they will face Atlético Madrid on 30 July.
His only match in England ahead of the new season is against Spanish side Rayo Vallecano on July 31, reports Xinhua news agency.
Ronaldo is reported to have asked him to leave Old Trafford a year after his second spell because he wants to play Champions League football next season.
Although official sources at Manchester United say he is still under contract, the club is believed to be willing to listen to offers, with any money from the sale used to rebuild the squad.
