The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on February 03 informed that crypto transactions made before April 2022 will not be tax-exempt. “Taxability of crypto-currency is certain even for this financial year. Crypto investors should be aware that transactions done before April 2022 will not be tax-exempt,” said JB Mohapatra, Chairman, CBDT.
