CUET UG Result Declared: A Guide to the Admission Process

The results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2022 examinations were declared by the NTA on Friday after the exam was postponed by another day due to delay in the process. Around 20,000 students have scored 100 percentile in the CUET exam.

According to the report, 8,236 students scored 100 percentile in English, 2,065 in Political Science, 1,669 in Business Studies, 1,324 in Biology, 1,188 in Economics, 893 in History, 875 in Hindi, 422 in Accountancy and 326 in Geography. .

high score in CUET Exam That could mean a higher cutoff for the 90 odd universities participating in the CUET process. Out of the participating universities, maximum students have applied for Delhi University, which received 6,63,776 applications, followed by BHU with 4,34,140 applications, Allahabad University with 2,62,488, Jamia Millia Islamia University, 1 44,134 applications and 67,546 applications have been received. at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Among private universities, IIMT University received 1.68 lakh applications, Galgotia University 1.23 lakh applications and Jaipur’s Apex University 1.01 lakh applications.

NTA has said that each participating university/organization will decide on the admission process on the basis of CUET-UG 2022 scorecard.

DU Admission Process:

While many universities are yet to decide on their admission process, DU has launched Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) Portal On September 12 and has prescribed detailed guidelines for admission to 79 UG programs in 67 colleges affiliated to the central university. Admissions will be conducted in three phases and classes are likely to start by November 1.

1) In the first stage, students have to pay a non-refundable lump sum application fee. fees will be 100 more for SC, ST and PWBD category applicants 250 for UR, OBC-NCL, EWS categories.

2) Then applicants have to fill all relevant details including email id and class 12th score. The details such as name, photograph and signature etc. submitted during the CUET process will be automatically linked in the CSAS portal. Special care should be taken while filling the class 12th marks as it will be the deciding factor in case of equal qualifying marks.

3) In the second step, select their program and college combination and fill their preference. The college will also determine the order of preference for allotment of combination seats. Finally, candidates have to confirm the order of preference for each program and college by clicking the ‘Submit’ button on or before the last day of filing preference.

4) In the third stage, a particular seat will be allotted to the candidate and they will be given a specified last date/time to ‘accept’ the seat. Candidates will not be able to participate in the subsequent rounds of CSAS-2022 once they have rejected the seat.

5) Once submitted the candidate has to pay his/her admission fee to secure his/her provisional admission in his/her selected college.

6) The colleges will accept or reject the seat provisionally allotted to the candidates after verification. Candidates can also opt for ‘Upgrade’ and will be considered in subsequent allotment rounds based on the availability of seats.
