CUET-UG: Strict action will be taken against those who do ‘deliberate sabotage’

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagdish Kumar said strict action would be taken against anyone involved in the “deliberate sabotage” of the process.

Kumar had earlier informed on August 7 that the second phase of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG) will now be held from August 24 to August 28. A fresh admit card will be distributed before the exam. In addition to this, Kumar has advised the candidates to regularly visit the NTA website http://nta.ac.in.

“…It has been decided that instead of 12th to 14th August 2022, the CUET (UG) 2022 examination for all these candidates will now be held between 24th to 28th August, and a new admit card will be issued much earlier. Will go on exam date,” Kumar tweeted.

Following the earlier postponement of the Phase II examination, the National Testing Agency decided to process the requests of 15,811 candidates after providing them with the option to choose a date other than August 12 to 14, which suits them.

“In the second phase of CUET-UG, due to administrative and technical reasons, the CUET (UG) 2022 examinations which were earlier scheduled between 4th to 6th August 2022, have been postponed to 12-14th August 2022 for some examination centres, due to administrative and technical reasons. It was done,” the UGC chairman said.

“The National Testing Agency had also given the affected candidates an option to choose dates other than August 12 to 14, 2022, if these dates were not suitable for them. 15,811 candidates requested dates from August 12 to 14, 2022,” he said. did.” ,

Similarly, many candidates urged the NTA to postpone their exams from August 12 to 14, as many holidays are observed around this time in the country.

According to him, many candidates had asked for change in the schedule or venue of CUET (UG) 2022 exam after August 10 as the cities allotted to them were not satisfactory. While it is underway, the third phase of CUET-UG will be conducted on August 17, 18 and 20 as per the schedule that has already been given to the candidates.
