Cyclone: ​​IMD warns of heavy rain, thunderstorm in Odisha, Andhra next week

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a cyclonic storm which is likely to make landfall in Odisha by Sunday evening. The weather forecasting agency said that a low pressure area developed over South Andaman Sea is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm and reach Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coasts early next week.

The Met Office has also warned of thunderstorm and heavy rain in the districts of Gangetic West Bengal from Tuesday (May 10) to Friday (May 13) next week in view of the possible formation of a cyclonic storm.
