Cyclone Jawad: UGC-NET exam postponed in Odisha, Andhra. details here

The imminent threat of cyclonic storm ‘Jawad’ has forced the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh governments to postpone the UGC-NET exam scheduled for December 3 and 4.

UGC will notify about a revised datasheet for the rescheduled exam.

Deep pressure over the Bay of Bengal intensified on Friday in Cyclone Jawad – dubbed ‘Jowad’ and the name proposed by Saudi Arabia.

The India Meteorological Department said that the weather system is likely to reach west-central Bay of Bengal from north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts by Saturday morning.

Then, the storm is very likely to move north-northeastwards and move along the Odisha coast, approaching Puri around Sunday afternoon. Thereafter, it is very likely to move north-northeastwards towards Coastal Odisha and West Bengal coast.

The East Coast Railway has so far canceled the operation of 95 trains for three days from Thursday.
