The report claimed that they were successful in removing anti-corruption clauses from the fighter contract, which was later signed by then French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Rafale maker Dassault Aviation and India’s defense ministry have previously denied allegations of any corruption in the contract.
In 2019, the Supreme Court also dismissed petitions seeking a probe into the deal, saying there was no basis for it.
In a statement published in April, responding to Mediapart’s report on the investigation, Dassault Aviation said the group, “acts in strict compliance with the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention and national laws”.
