Financial year 2021, the one-year period just after the national lockdown was announced, was a relatively better year for central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) in terms of profits. The total profit of profit making CPSEs increased by 37% over FY20, while the total losses of the loss-making CPSEs have declined by 29%. 254. out of CPSE For which data is available, 177 made a net profit while 77 made a net loss in FY 2011. It is a matter of concern that out of 77 loss making CPSEs, 28 have reported net loss for the third year in a row.
