Database of apartments and commercial buildings will be made

Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Tuesday decided to decommission a property database that contains information on apartments and commercial buildings within the corporation’s limits.

In the meeting chaired by Commissioner Akshay Sridhar, it was decided to discuss the specific issues of the city, including tax collection, building permits, Ekgakshi scheme, waste management, installation and management of sewage treatment plants, problems related to underground drainage system etc. Are included. Representatives of the Residents Association and officers of the Corporation attended the meeting.

An official release here said that the database will help the corporation to plan for waste management, sewage discharge, infrastructure creation etc. The corporation has urged the residents of the city to provide necessary information within the stipulated time.

Discrepancies were discussed in the process of issuing building permits through Ekagavaakshi Yojna Bhawan (II) software. It was decided that the issue would be resolved at the earliest with the cooperation of experts, architects and engineers. There was a case of dumping of dirty water in open drains by residential buildings/commercial, industrial and other establishments.

During the meeting, a proposal was made for the beautification and management of parks, circles, central and lakes in the MCC boundary. It was stated that the Builders Association would take steps towards its management on providing the design, estimated expenditure; Annual maintenance cost details are provided on these offers.
