Day Trading Guide for Thursday: Trading continued in a limited range in the Indian stock market on Wednesday as well. The NSE Nifty lost 27 points to close at 18,017 while the BSE Sensex lost 80 points to closed at 60,352. According to stock market experts, the current market pattern indicates confusion in the minds of the market participants.
On a day when volumes on the NSE were in line with the recent average, oil and gas and telecom indices rose the most, while realty, metals, consumer durables and bank indices fell the most. The smallcap index closed flat while the midcap index closed with a decline of 0.5 per cent.

Another round is likely as long as NSE Nifty holds the lower support of 17,900 to 17,850. Short term. An upward move towards 18,150. A decisive move below the support is likely to drag Nifty down towards 17,600 levels in the near term.”
