According to Johnson, the team wanted to accomplish the goal of adding new characters to the DCEU’s fold, with fan-favourite superheroes such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

“We wanted to introduce new characters to the world, which is not easy to do. We did it with intrigue and interest, and with respect to mythology and DC fans.

“So there was a lot to balance which I think we all took responsibility for and everyone came to the table and wanted to make a really tremendous film. And then, create something that’s totally different and that fits all of our characters. reflect.” Directed by Jaime Colette-Serra, “Black Adam” looks at the modern world nearly 5,000 years after the titular superhero was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods.

In the modern world, he comes face to face with the Justice Society of America, which tries to contain his anger.

The actor said the film will also appeal to the audience on a philosophical level.

“Everyone has a philosophical difference in the film, but there’s nothing wrong here,” he said.

As a character, Johnson said that he found Black Adam “a man with a strong conviction and passion for the things he believes in”. “It was definitely an honor to play his role and bring him to the world,” he added.

Also, the actors were excited to present the superhero group Justice Society of America (JSA) to the world.

“It was really an honor to make this film and introduce the world to this group – the Justice Society of America. JSA was the first superhero group even before Justice League,” he said.

Along with the Justice Society of America, the film will feature characters such as Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

Aldis Hodge, who stars as superhero group leader Carter Hall aka Hawkman, said he had a wonderful time working on the film.

“It was fantastic to step into it. “Black Adam” also marks former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan’s foray into the superhero space.

In addition to playing the superhero on screen, Brosnan said he got a chance to find out the man behind the costume.

“Doctor Fett is one of the oldest characters in DC Comics and he’s a magician. But first and foremost, he’s a man. He’s an archaeologist, Kent Nelson. His entry into this world came with a sacrifice and It was the death of his father.

“With this mythology, you really have to go back to your own personal self. And this is a man who looks to the future, so he sees death and death of people. “And with that comes the expectations and pressure that’s on it. There’s also a sense of privilege and you have to bake everything that it is.

The actor added, “Then they had to come up with this incredible cast and it turned into a family. So you just let it go and trust everyone around you. Your co-stars are without a doubt the most. Trust the easy part.”
