This Telugu remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Diya’ offers little through performances and narration

dear megha Kannada blockbuster remake Diameter, whose Telugu dubbed version was recently streamed on YouTube. who have seen Diameter can’t be too happy with dear megha. • Cast: Megha Akash, Arun Adith, Arjun Somayajula
  • Direction: Sushant Reddy
  • Music: Hari Gaura

Different Diya’s Khushi who is an introvert and barely smiles, Megha is cheerful and has a sunny disposition. Cinematographer Andrews Splash dear megha in pink and bright colors; The color of the walls of the two houses of the lead pair makes it clear that the director wanted to bring some changes in the story.

Megha Swaroop is attracted to Arjun (Arjun Somayajula) in college who is good looking, good and good at dot drawing. She wants to start a conversation with him but holds herself back every time. She wants a valid reason to have a conversation and by the time she makes up for it, she finds out that she has dropped out of college. That’s just the first surprise; As the movie says, life is full of surprises.

Back home after a while, she sees Arjun climbing into the lift he is in. He has moved to the flat opposite her. Needless to say, they fall in love. However, a setback occurs before they can discuss their next move. Unable to cope with the situation, Megha is depressed and rushes to the railway track. More twists and turns come ahead.

Arun Adith fits into the grand role and Pavitra Lokesh reprises her role as his mother. Director Sushant Reddy is quick initially and slows down later. Although tempting, the description seems inconsistent. Songs are good. Arun Adith’s performance stands out; Megha Akash disappointed in the beginning but is fine after the interval. She comes with the right expressions.

The film could have done better with an impressive performance. Also, there is a Megha-Arjun track which is very short in the first half, so we don’t sympathize with them.

If not a good film then not bad either.
