Decentralization is the only way for Andhra’s development: CM Jagan Reddy

Emphasizing that decentralization is the only way for all-round development of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said this is his government’s policy and the state has witnessed “miracles of decentralization” by setting up village and ward secretariats. Huh. Doubling the districts to 26.

The Chief Minister clarified that he had said that two more capitals would be added to the present Amaravati but he never said that it should be taken away. “People have accepted this idea with a huge fall in the elections held after the 2019 general elections,” he said.

Participating in a brief discussion on decentralization and administrative reforms on the opening day of the AP Assembly session in Amaravati on Thursday, the chief minister slammed the opposition for raising slogans on the capital city, which “couldn’t be made nor built by a farmer”. Could have gone CM Chandrababu Naidu”.

He said that with a little incentive, Visakhapatnam would be the natural capital with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore which is less than ten per cent of the previous government’s estimate of building a capital city.

“For 53,000 acres of land, the previous government has estimated an expenditure of Rs 1.10 lakh crore for infrastructure and whatever it could have spent was just Rs 5,500 crore and this is the amount any government could spend. and the previous government had given Rs. We have Rs 2,297 crore pending to clear,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the ongoing agitation for Amaravati, Reddy said it was “not for the development of SC, ST, BC or minorities but to protect the interests of the wealthy class”.

“In our view the state is the entire stretch of 1.62 lakh sq km radius but not within the 8 km radius, which has of late movement, the state has 3.96 crore acres, not just 50,000 acres and the farmers of these lands Huh. Along with all those who are benefiting from Rythu Bharosa are farmers,” the CM said.

“I have been talking about decentralization time and again. From the establishment of village and ward secretariats to doubling the districts till 26 we have shown what decentralization can be and it is doing wonders and welfare delivery mechanism during disasters. Working well and effectively, Reddy added.

In a scathing attack on the farmers’ yatra, Jagan alleged that it was sponsored by Chandrababu Naidu with witty slogans and it was only to incite people from other areas to set fire.

He further said that there is not much difference between the state budget of the previous and our governments and it is about Rs 2.50 crore.

“So why did the previous government not take up programs like Amma Vodi, YSR Asra, Cheyutha, and Rythu Bharosa and give Rs 1.65 lakh crore Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under various schemes and how can it be possible for us, this It is a matter of commitment and priority,” he questioned.
