David Moyes says there is a “good chance” that in-demand Declan Rice will leave West Ham in the summer transfer window, admitting the club are making contingency plans. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are understood to be interested in the England midfielder, who is worth around £100 million ($125 million). “We have every expectation that he will stay,” West Ham manager Moyes said on Friday. “We would love for him to be a West Ham player but we know that can’t happen at the end of the season.

“So that’s one of the scenarios around the plan. There are plans that we have December here but we’re also fully aware that there’s a good chance we won’t have that.”

Moyes has been unable to draw up a plan for next season while West Ham’s Premier League status remains unclear, although last week’s win over Manchester United left them safe.

“The plan has been put on the backburner,” Scott said. “It’s always been about making sure you’re a Premier League club. If you weren’t, your plans would have gone awry.”

“A lot of it will start with when we realize that we have made our Premier League place. We’re looking at a lot of players, a lot of games, a lot of scouting, but the truth is to stay in the Premier League focused on.”

West Ham, seven points above the relegation zone, head to Brentford on Sunday with a 2-1 win over AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final on Thursday.
