Dedicated Pediatric Care Unit soon in Gajwel

A dedicated Pediatric Care Unit (DPCU) is coming up at the Government District Hospital located at Gajwel, the constituency headquarters represented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. This facility is being set up with all facilities at par with corporate hospitals.

Setting up of DPCU at Gajwel Hospital can save precious time for the parents as they do not need to wait for ambulance apart from avoiding the stressful journey of Hyderabad for hours.

It will have 42 beds including 12 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, which will serve the people of Gajwel, Yadadri-Bhongir, Medchal, Medak and Siddipet districts. Thirty beds in DPCU are connected to oxygen supply facilities.

Since the Government General Hospital (GGH) does not have a separate facility for newborns, Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao planned one and implemented it on a war footing. The facility is being set up on the second floor.

The walls have been painted with cartoon caricatures to create a positive atmosphere for the children.

It is expected that Shri Harish Rao will inaugurate this facility soon.
