IPL 2022 has done the unimaginable. The cricket carnival, which often brings up healthy rivalries, has now united two cricketers: Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda. Last year, Pandya and Hooda had claimed that Pandya had stopped them from practicing ‘showing their grandeur’ ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. “Today I was practicing in the nets and preparing for tomorrow’s game with the permission of Head Coach Mr. Prabhakar. Then Kunal who came in the net started misbehaving with me. I told him that I am doing my preparation with the permission of the head coach. He told me ‘I am the captain, who is the head coach? I am the overall of Baroda team. Then he stopped my practice by showing his grandeur,” Hooda alleged in the letter, according to Sportstar. Hooda then left the Baroda team and joined Rajasthan to play domestic cricket.
Fast forward to 2022, both the cricketers found themselves under the same camp and new franchise Lucknow Super Giants. And looking at the bromance that was witnessed during the clash against Gujarat Titans, one can say that the two have left this episode behind and moved on.
During the match, both of them shared some such moments, which created a lot of buzz on Twitter. Pandya was seen applauding Hooda after scoring a crucial half-century to lift Lucknow out of the dangerous situation. The southpaw also took a pat on his back when Hooda was dismissed and he was walking back towards the dug-out and Pandya was entering the field to bat.
