Bhinal Sessions Court Judge RP Mogera came to the court on Thursday and said only one word on this petition- ‘Dismiss.’ Judge Mogra heard the arguments of both the parties in this matter on April 13 and reserved the decision. Sources with direct knowledge of the matter told NDTV that after the petition was rejected, now Rahul Gandhi Will leave his official residence at 10 Tughlaq Lane on Saturday. His belongings were first pasted in Sonia Gandhi’s official bungalow. Now Rahul will appeal in the High Court.

Gujarat court had sentenced Rahul Gandhi for further appeal in 30 days time. Rahul appealed against the sentence and his appeal was dismissed in the Court of Appeal. This means as of now that Rahul cannot be reinstated as an MP. According to the Congress, Rahul Gandhi will now appeal in the High Court.

During the hearing, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer RS ​​Cheema petitioned the learned Sessions Court Judge RP Mogera that the defamation case was not justified. The maximum sentence was not even required in the case. He had said- ‘Power is an exception, but the court should consider considering the punishment. Consideration should be given to whether the indemnity would result in a greater loss. Such punishment is unjust.

At the same time, Purnesh Modi, who filed the defamation case, had said that Rahul Gandhi repeatedly accuses him of making defamatory statements.
