New Delhi [India]April 9 (ANI): Former Karnataka MLC and Congress leader Nagraj Chabbi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday.
Chhabi joined the BJP in the presence of Union minister Pralhad Joshi, Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Katil and cabinet minister Govind Karjol.
In another jolt to the Congress, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy joined the BJP on 7 April.
Reddy sent a letter to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on March 13, 2023. He wrote in a letter, “Please accept this letter as my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress.”
Anil Antony, son of former Defense Minister AK Antony, joined the BJP on Thursday in Delhi.
Anil Antony joined BJP in the presence of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and V Muraleedharan. Kerala BJP chief K Surendran and senior party leaders Tarun Chugh and Anil Baluni were also present on the occasion.
Anil Antony thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for joining BJP.
The development comes after Anil Antony, who was the Kerala Congress social media team coordinator and resigned from all posts in the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee in January, over the 2002 Gujarat riots and the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. (ANI)
