Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express to start soon; Here’s all about it: fares, timings, stops

Vande Bharat is the fastest train running in India. The semi-high-speed train currently operates on 16 routes across the country. PM Modi has also asked the Ministry of Railways to ensure that the Vande Bharat Express train reaches every state by June this year. A new development on this has been recently seen in the state of Uttarakhand, as the New Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express may become operational soon. As per recent media reports, the train is likely to be flagged off on May 29. Also, this will be the first Vande Bharat Express to run in Uttarakhand.

Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express: Travel time

At present, train travel from the national capital to the state capital takes around 6 hours, while Vande Bharat will reduce the time to around 5 hours. Currently there are total 7 trains running between Delhi and Dehradun. The list includes – Shatabdi, Janshatabdi, Uttaranchal Express, Mussoorie Express, Dehradun-Indore Express, Ujjaini Express and Nanda Devi AC Superfast Express. Also, various stations have been inspected by senior officials recently, and a trial may happen soon.

Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express: Stoppage

For stoppages, the New Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express is expected to halt at Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee and Haridwar en route from New Delhi to Dehradun. However, so far no confirmation has been shared by the Indian Railways on the stoppages.

Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express: Fare

The specific details on the fare are yet to be revealed by the Indian Railways, but the report states that traveling in an AC chair car will cost Rs 915 from New Delhi to Dehradun and vice versa. AC executive chair car fare can be around Rs 1,425.

Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express: Timings

While the timetable of the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will be announced soon, it is likely to operate from Delhi at 5 PM, while it will leave Dehradun at 8 AM.
