According to officials, the Delhi government will appoint an agency to test the mid-day meals served in its schools to ensure that the food meets the prescribed standards of quality and nutritional value. The mid-day meal or PM-POSHAN scheme, under which hot cooked meals are served to meet the nutritional needs of children, includes government and government aided school students of classes I-VIII as well as pre-primary classes has been included. “The government will hire an agency that will take random samples from schools as well as from kitchens and godowns.
