Delhi is hosting the G20 Food Festival with various international cuisines. you don’t want to miss it

Delhi sees many food festivals throughout the year but this one is going to be one of a kind. The upcoming food festival will bring together cuisines from different parts of the world under one roof. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is organizing the ‘G20 Food Festival’ with the participation of various G20 member countries. Based on the theme of “Taste the World, Cherish the Diversity” and “International Year of Millets”, the festival will be held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi over two days – February 11 and February 12, 2023.

The Group of Twenty (G20) consists of 19 countries – Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States, along with the European Union. NDMC has invited G20 countries along with other guest countries to be a part of this mega food festival. A total of 29 countries have already been invited.

“The main objective of the food festival is for the public to enjoy the cuisine of the G20 member countries and guest countries,” the NDMC revealed in a statement. All G20 member countries and guest countries are invited to participate in the food festival. is done.”

Participating countries will need to bring their own chefs, staff and raw materials to prepare the meals. However, space, stall, electricity connection, water connection and other logistic support will be provided. Food items can be sold to the visitors on payment basis.

Food preparation workshops or live demonstration counters may also be a part of the food festival, including display of photographs and writing on recipes, the NDMC said.

International cuisine is fast gaining popularity in India. With a large number of Chinese, Italian, Japanese and now Korean restaurants catching people’s attention, we are open to exploring different global cuisines. The G20 Food Festival is expected to create awareness about international cuisine as well as provide education and guidance on nutritional health and food preparation.
