Delhi LG vs Kejriwal again: Saxena’s office says ’47 files signed by CMO staff instead of CM’

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena’s office sources said on Saturday that it has returned 47 files signed by CMO employees instead of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. These files, signed by the staff of the CMO, include files related to the Education Department and the Waqf Board.

The move is likely to intensify the tussle between the two constitutional authorities in the national capital.

The developments came almost a week after LG VK Saxena wrote to Kejriwal, stating that the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) was forwarding files to the LG Secretariat seeking opinion and approval without his signature.

Sources claimed that despite Saxena raising the issue, the CMO continued to send files bearing the chief minister’s signature.
