Delhi Metro bans filming of Instareels, dance videos: “Travelling, not causing trouble”

This message resonated with a lot of internet users

Recently, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has seen a rise in the number of people creating Instagram reels inside metro coaches. While such videos may fetch tons of views and likes for the content creators, they can also be a source of annoyance and inconvenience to fellow commuters. DMRC has repeatedly warned passengers not to make videos inside metro coaches, but to no avail. On Monday, the Delhi Metro reiterated the same message by prohibiting commuters from recording videos during the journey.

Delhi Metro wrote in a tweet, “Travel, don’t hassle,” and shared a graphic that reads, “Be a passenger, not a nuisance, in Delhi Metro.”

A text on the image reads, “Filming reels, dance videos or any such activity inside Delhi Metro is strictly prohibited, which may cause inconvenience to the passengers.”

The public service message resonated with a lot of internet users, who called it a good decision. One user wrote, “Please advertise through posters etc. inside the metro coaches as well. People get worried while traveling. They don’t bother about what one is facing in life but always try for some likes.

A third wrote, ‘Very good decision, and please ban tobacco and cigarette shops around metro stations as well,’ while a fourth wrote, ‘Please take appropriate action for commuters, loud mobile songs, not working. announcements, display for train timings in stations etc.” The fifth said, “It should be implemented on all facilities of public transport. When you’re in the aerobridge, the most irritating dances are there.”

This is not the first time that Delhi Metro has issued such a message. Back in February, DMRC used a reference from the Oscar-winning song ‘Natu Natu’ From ‘rrr’ And wrote, “Dance is fun but Delhi metro mein na-nacho nacho nacho”.

prior to that, DMRC shared such a tickling meme It features Geeta Kapur, Malaika Arora and Terence Lewis reacting to the reel as judges.

In her remarks, Geeta Kapur is shown saying, “Bete yahan dance nahi karte (You shouldn’t dance here)”. Actor Malaika Arora is shown echoing the sentiments of many passengers: “Don’t you think this is the wrong place?”
