A Delhi Metro official said that due to some technical issues, Metro services were delayed on a section of the Red Line on Saturday. The Red Line connects Rithala in northwest Delhi and Shahid Sthal (bus stand) in Ghaziabad.
“Due to some issues with the Overhead Equipment (OHE) line, services have been delayed on a part of the Red Line corridor,” a senior official said. The problem is being resolved.
To alert passengers, DMRC said on Twitter, “Delay in red line update in service between Shahdara and Shastri Park. Normal services on all other lines.”
Another tweet later confirmed that normal services have resumed.
Several passengers also took to Twitter to share the troubles caused by the delay.
