Delhi: Only 11% residents believe that COVID compliance is effective, shows survey

As the national capital Delhi is witnessing an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases, a rise of nearly 50%, a survey conducted by LocalCircle revealed that only 11% of Delhi residents believed compliance. was effective. Local social network ‘LocalCircle’ conducted the survey in the national capital with 6,291 respondents for three categories – mask compliance, type of mask used and social distancing.

Of the 2,102 people surveyed for mask compliance, 33 percent of respondents said that although they had masks, they did not want to wear them, while 31 percent said they had stopped wearing masks altogether. About 25 percent of the people said they rarely wore a mask, while about 11 percent said they used a mask all the time.

Of the 2,091 people surveyed, 53 percent said they wore masks made of cloth, 26 percent used disposable masks and seven percent wore N-95s.

‘LocalCircle’ asked 2,098 people if they followed social distancing. Of these, 51 percent said that they do not follow the practice at all, while 34 percent said that its compliance is very low. Only seven percent of respondents said social distancing was effective in their area.
