NEW DELHI: The All India Parents Association (AIPA) has termed the virtual school in Delhi launched on Wednesday as a “disastrous” idea to further marginalize poor children.

“The Delhi government is failing to fulfill its constitutional and statutory obligations of providing free and quality education to every child. The application process for DMVS has started from Wednesday. Classes will be online and recorded lectures will also be uploaded online.
“All politicians who have decided to start virtual schools should first send their children to such school. Virtual schools are in addition to violating Article 14 (right to equality), 21 and 21-A (right to quality education) of the constitution. It violates the RTE Act, 2009,” Agarwal said.
Any student in the age group of 13 years to 18 years who have passed class 8 from any recognized school can apply for admission in DMVS.
