Surat: A deputy sarpanch has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Squad along with the temporary clerk of Solsumba Gram Panchayat of Umargam. valsadi On Tuesday for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh.

The complainant has land in the village and wanted to construct a building there for residential and commercial activities. But Patel did not give them the necessary permission letters. He demanded Rs 15 lakh for issuance of the letter and after discussion it was reduced to Rs 12 lakh.
The deal was finalized for Rs 3 lakh as the first installment out of Rs 12 lakh. Meanwhile, the complainant lodged a complaint with the ACB, which registered a FIR And the net was also laid.
