‘Deserves to celebrate’: Singer Chinmayi Sripada praises actor Manikandan

Chinmayi Sripada tweeted a story from more than 10 years ago.

Manikandan is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Good Night, which marks the directorial debut of Vinayak Chandrasekaran.

Actor Manikandan known for films like Vikram Vedha and Kaala. He is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Good Night which is the directorial debut of Vinayak Chandrasekaran. The team is busy promoting the film and was recently on the sets of Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru (KPY) Champions – 4 to be aired on Vijay TV.

Manikandan impressed the audience by mimicking various actors from the industry. He debuted by imitating Ajith from his film Valimai and stunned the audience. He further continued to speak like Kantara actor Kishore and then imitated actor Raghuvaran from his film Yaaradi Nee Mohini. The promo of the episode has gone viral on the internet and singer Chinmayi Sripada shared the clip on Twitter and also shared her memories with Manikandan.

Taking to Twitter, the Rishivanamathen singer wrote, “Manikandan has a lot to offer and it deserves to be celebrated. Short story: More than 10 years ago, my company, Blue Elephant, was translating and dubbing training videos for the Election Commission. We fell asleep for 2 weeks straight because of the huge deadlines and a lot of stuff. Mani was one of the three people I had the privilege of working with. Knocks it out of the park for most of the characters in that training video, including an elderly Punjabi gentleman. In our sleep-deprived, deadline-chasing situation, he happily worked.”

Manikandan’s upcoming film Good Night is jointly produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRB Entertainment. It is about a simple boy whose biggest problem in life is his snoring. He falls in love with a girl and the couple tries to cure his snoring problem while living together. The film stars Meeta Raghunath, Ramesh Thilak, Raichal Rabeka, Balaji Sakthivel and others. Good Night is all set to hit the theaters on May 12.
