Varanasi: An invitation letter inviting voters to exercise their franchise on the day of polling on Monday remained a topic of discussion among locals after it went viral on social media on Sunday afternoon.
This invitation letter ‘invitation letter of democracy’ great festivalwith logo of Election Commission of India Along with this, systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SWEP) has been published by the District Election Office, Varanasi.
It is written in the invitation letter – ‘I am sending affectionate invitations, voters to call you, do not forget to come on 7th March, come to vote’ so that it can be made attractive for voters.
The date and time of polling is also mentioned while the venue is mentioned as ‘Your Polling Station’. After issuing this invitation, the District Election Officer Kaushal Raj Sharma It also clarified that tea and food kiosks and vending will be allowed till 4 pm on Monday to ensure that policemen and others on duty do not face inconvenience. However, sitting inside kiosks and food shops will not be allowed on the day of polling.
