Biocon Executive Chairman Kiran Mazumdar Shaw took to Twitter this morning to share a post remembering her husband John Shaw.
John Shaw passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Bengaluru where he was undergoing treatment for cancer. He was 73 years old.
“I am devastated to lose my husband, my mentor and soul mate. I will always be guided spiritually by John as I pursue my purpose. Peace in peace my dear John. What makes my life so special Thank you for that. I will miss you deeply,” wrote Ms. Shaw.

Mr Shaw served as Biocon’s vice president and non-executive director for more than 22 years, before retiring in July 2021.
According to the company’s website, he was also a member of the advisory board of various Biocon group companies.
Before joining Biocon in 1999, Mr. Shaw headed textile manufacturer Madhura Coats.
