Develop a professional system, CM tells police

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the police force should be developed into a professional system which promotes the cultural development of the state.

“Training is of great importance in transforming the force. In olden times, police force was used to control and dominate the people. For this their training was also programmed. But after independence, the whole army was included in the army. There was a change in the way. Police has become people friendly from the epitome of terror. However, some exceptional cases have been reported even now. Even after the best training available in the country, isolated incidents like this bring disrepute to the entire police force. Has been,” Mr. Vijayan said.

Highly educated youth are now coming into force. He said he should be able to give a professional face to the force.

Congratulating the police for their effective role in the fight against COVID-19, the Chief Minister said that when the entire people chose to sit inside their homes, the police personnel worked day and night on the road.
