DGP’s meeting: PM stresses on increasing cooperation between State Police, Central Front

Addressing the 57th All India Conference of Police Liaison/Inspectors General, the Prime Ministers debunked the obsolete criminal case, suggested the creation of standards for Inspectors General of Police in the state.

Prime Minister Modi invited model DGP/IGP conferences at state and district levels to discuss emerging crores and develop betting methods among his team. The conference involved policing and various structures of national security, including counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency and cyber security.

The three-day meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, among others. Around 600 more officials at various levels from the States and the Union Territory in hybrid mode participated in the conference.

Modi also distributed police medals for distinguished services. The annual meeting was held in New Delhi till 2013. The next year, when the Modi-led government came to power, it decided to organize programs of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Intelligence Bureau outside the national capital.

This time the conference was organized at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, Delhi. Earlier, the venue of the meeting was Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital.
