Dhanush paternity case: Petitioner’s lawyer seeks preservation of client’s DNA

A couple has claimed that Dhanush is their son who left home in 11th standard.

According to the lawyer, preservation of DNA is essential to verify Dhanush’s paternal lineage.

Actor Dhanush has been embroiled in a legal dispute with an elderly couple Kathiresan and Meenakshi for a long time. The couple has claimed that Dhanush is their son who left home in Class 11 to pursue acting. At the same time, Dhanush and his father Kasturi Raja have sent a legal notice to the couple. Now another development has come to the fore in this matter. Kathiresan’s lawyer has said in an interview that his client’s health is not good. He shared that he has submitted a request to A Rathinvel, Dean of the Government Rajaji Hospital, to preserve the DNA of his client.

According to the lawyer, preservation of DNA is essential to verify Dhanush’s paternal lineage. He also said that the actor has submitted forged documents regarding his birth certificate and school transfer certificate. He further said that Dhanush has sent a legal notice to his client but has not registered a case. According to him, these things indicate that Dhanush is trying to hide the truth. In the end, he said that many people are abandoned by their children like this.

The answer of Dhanush and his father Kasturi Raja on this interview has not been recorded yet. In the notice sent to the couple, he has denied all his claims. Dhanush and his father had sent the notice through their lawyer Haja Mohideen Gisty. The notice requests Kathiresan and Meenakshi not to make false allegations. If they do not refrain from this, then Dhanush and Kasthuri Raja will knock the doors of the court. As stated in the notice, it was also demanded that the couple should apologize for their baseless claims. Failing to do so, the couple will be sued for Rs 10 crore.

According to records, Dhanush’s full name is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasturi Raja. Dhanush said that he was born to filmmaker Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi. On the other hand, Kathiresan and his wife Meenakshi claimed that Dhanush was their third son. She also demanded a monthly maintenance of Rs 65,000 from Dhanush.

The couple had earlier demanded a DNA test to ascertain the truth. But Dhanush opposed this demand citing his integrity and right to privacy.
