Dharwad: hdmc And Rotary Family of Dharwad On Sunday, from 10 am to 2 pm, we will jointly organize a free health check-up camp at the Municipality Hospital near the old bus stand. HDMC Commissioner B Gopalakrishna and Dr Satish Irakal of Rotary family said that specialist doctors would consult the patients. There will be many tests like Hemoglobin Percentage, Blood Group and Rh, Blood Sugar, Thyroid (TSH), Hb AIC, Ultra Sonography, ECG, Echo Cardiography, Bone-Marrow Density and PAP SMEAR. The commissioner has appealed to the people to take advantage of the camp.

GTTC Offers Diploma Courses
Hubballi: Government Tool Room and Training Center (GTTC) admissions are open and 7th June will be the last date to apply. The courses offered are Diploma in Tool and Die Making and Diploma in Precision Fabrication. Principal Shivanand Kumbhar said that the sanctioned strength would be 60 and 30 seats respectively, and would be purely on merit basis. The number of applications is increasing since the inception of GTTC, he said, adding that job opportunities for GTTC students are more than those studying in other equipment training centres.
Shooting competition from 29 May to 5 June
Hubballi: With the approval of the Karnataka State Rifle Association, Hubli Sports Shooting Academy and RK Tigers Sports Club will organize the second All India Open Shooting Competition here from May 29 to June 5. Over 500 contestants from across the country will compete for the honour. Ravichandra Balehosur said international shooter Meghna Sajjanar and young shooter Tilottama Sen will also participate in the event. The prizes worth Rs 6 lakh will be given under three categories – Air Rifle, Pistol Open Challenge and Open Sight.
