Diabook Trailer: Emraan Hashmi, Nikita Dutta starrer is bound to give you a spine chilling experience
As promised, Emraan Hashmi on Wednesday (October 20) treated his fans and followers with an exciting trailer of his upcoming film ‘Dyabbook: The Curse Is Real’. Filled with elements of suspense, horror and adventure, the Amazon Prime Video Original also stars actress Nikita Dutta. Fans have been on their toes ever since the makers released the teaser of the film, and the trailer of the upcoming blood-tinged flick has piqued their curiosity.
Jointly produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the upcoming Amazon Original movie Dyabbook is directed by Jay and is the official remake of blockbuster Malayalam film ‘Ezra’.
With Emraan Hashmi back in his favorite genre, he will be seen playing the lead role in the film alongside Nikita Dutta and Manav Kaul in the lead roles. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Mauritius, the spooky trailer reveals that the film will narrate the horrific events that take place on the cursed island.
The trailer gives a glimpse into the lives of a couple (Imran and Nikita) who are caught in a quandary when wife (Nikita) brings home an ancient Jewish box, which turns out to be a dibbuk box! What happens next is a series of horrific events that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The nail-biting trailer promises powerful performances by all the actors, engaging dialogues, spooky scenes and a compelling story.
From the powerful background music that complements the tempo of the trailer, to some of the intense performances, the trailer has it all, so it’s safe to say fans are in for a visual treat. The film will also be Imran’s first digital feature film.
Sharing his excitement over the same, the ‘Chehre’ actor shared, “The film is well crafted and has a great story along with a few jump-scares. We want to bring this film to our audience at a time like this. Bringing When The Scariest Will Happen is in full swing because of Halloween, and I can’t wait for viewers to enjoy DybBook and make it a part of their watchlist for the season.”
The film’s director Jay K further shared that with ‘Dybbook: The Curse Is Real’, the audience will witness a pure-play horror film. “I can assure you that this film will stay with the audience for a long time. The story of the film is gripping and explores a theme that has not been exposed as much. Jewish mythology and culture is at the center of the film. The film has been made keeping in mind the authenticity of the culture and genre.”
‘DybBook: The Curse Is Real’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series in association with Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak of Panorama Studios. The director and writer is Jay K who also directed the original film ‘Ezra’.
Apart from Emraan and Nikita, the horror film also stars Imaduddin Shah, Denzil Smith, Anil George, Bijay Anand, Gaurav Sharma and Yuri Suri in pivotal roles. The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on October 29 in 240 countries and territories worldwide.
