The comedian-turned-actor was asked about his statement that Ranbir deleted his scenes from the film. To this Bassi clarified that it was nothing and he was telling this to Luv Ranjan as he was given less screen time in the trailer. Bassi said that he accused the filmmaker of intentionally cutting his scenes.

The standup comic also said that the TJMM team sat together before the trailer launch and needed a light-hearted subject to crack some jokes. Bassi further added that the cast thought they could poke fun at the subject. They even said that they planned to blame each other on stage during the launch and improvise around this scene-biting drama.

Following this, Bassi was asked about the sudden change in her acting. He said that he had received a call from filmmaker Luv Ranjan. The comedian revealed that the director approached him about a role, and when Bassey admitted that he was not an actor, the director insisted that it was his responsibility to act as a comedian. The 32-year-old comedian said that he told the director that he would try his best, but how he would act would be the responsibility of the director. And thus Bassi joined the cast of the romantic comedy.

Bassi was questioned about the pressure she felt while signing the contract for the film. He revealed that he signed the film in just ten minutes. While she spoke to the filmmaker for an hour, the discussion on the film and her role lasted only ten minutes. For the next 50 minutes, they just talked about their personal lives and other things, shared the comedian.
