The budding actress tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back and that meant she could no longer travel to Bangkok with her co-stars Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani. His yet untitled film to be directed Moon Khaitan.

The film was supposed to go on floors in the first quarter of 2021, but the second lockdown forced the makers to postpone the project. The key aspect of the decision was that the film was to be shot in Bangkok, an international location. Filmmaker Parag Chakraborty was the first to direct the film but was later replaced by Shashank Khaitan due to circumstances. Shashank has also directed Janhvi Kapoor in his launch film ‘Dhadak’.

Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya took to social media to share an update on her COVID infection and released a statement which read, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. To date, I have mild symptoms, but I am feeling fine and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days back but as a precautionary measure again, the result came back positive. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in touch with me, you are requested to kindly get tested. Everyone stay safe!”
